Coloradans Deserve Better Mountain Highways

This state needs more guardrails installed along steep and dangerous drop-offs. Not just on cliff edges but along rivers and lakes. In fact just last year a mother went into the river near Palisade and drowned. That section of road should have guardrails. As should so many others. And don't anyone try to pull the "people should just drive better" card. Sometimes things happen. Guardrails save lives. There is no excuse why in this day and age with all of our modern construction and engineering technology that we should have so many narrow highways that not only have no guardrails but don't have shoulders either. There's also no reason why there aren't more passing lanes, especially on heavily trafficed state and federal highways. But of course CDOT wastes their money on unnecessary roundabouts and toll roads to nowhere. We need to start demanding more.
